What is Kickboxing?

Kickboxing originates from the Japanese Kickboxing which was created by Osamu Noguchi in the 1960s. From there Kickboxing moved to America and not long after was taken on by the rest of the world. Kickboxing can be considered a hybrid Martial Art formed from the combination of elements of various traditional styles. These styles consist of Muay Thai, Karate and Western Boxing.

The kickboxing world has brought us legends such as Benny “The Jet” Urquidez, Rick Roufus, Bill “Superfoot” Wallace and Rob Kaman.

Kickboxing is a style that consists of punching and kicking with various techniques and forms such as semi contact, light contact and full contact. Kickboxing is often practiced for self defense, general fitness or as a contact sport.

 The kickboxing style works for everyone weather you want to do it professionally or just for fun.
